SEPTEMBER: A LOOK BACK

Another month has come to an end, but with much excitement. Why, you ask? IT’S OFFICIALLY FALL! This is by far my favourite time of the year. As much as I enjoyed the summer, I’m ready for the cooler weather and all the wonderful things it brings – the leaves changing colours, fall fairs, and Halloween.

This month brought with it the return of my favourite Starbucks drink, the Pumpkin Spice Latte, some much needed time for some apartment décor projects, and one last summer inspired style shoot. Here’s to spooky October and another memorable month for all of you lovely Peaches, too!

MY STYLE: DRESS FOR SUCCESS

Last month was a very exciting one for me. Along with taking part in the first ever Curvy Expo, I started an amazing new job!  Finding a new job meant heading out for interviews and, naturally, meant finding a new outfit; one that made me feel fierce, confident, and beautiful. So off to Addition Elle I went!

The first look I chose was a teal and black paneled dress. Although the print caught my eye, I avoided trying it on until the lovely sales associates convinced me otherwise. I’m so glad they did because it fit perfectly and was beyond flattering! The dark panels give you the illusion of an hourglass figure, and the fabric is lush with a bit of weight to it, causing it to drape all the right places. I can’t believe I almost passed this beauty by because I thought the fabric wouldn’t flatter my shape, but let this be a lesson to me and all you fabulous ladies out there – you never know how something will look on you until you try it on.

For my second look, I went with a fun, little black dress. Not only was the cut of this dress super flattering just like my first choice, but the entire thing is covered in eyelet-esque cut outs that add the perfect touch of playfulness. I paired it with a coral blazer for a bright and bold summer look, but you can add whatever you want over this dress for endless style possibilities. With both of these looks leaving me feeling confident and beautiful, I knew I could walk into any interview looking as good on the outside as I felt on the inside. Which look is your favourite?

MEET ME AT CURVY EXPO

I’m too excited to write a proper intro, so I’ll just dive right into it! On May 14th, I will be attending my first ever blogger meet and greet (begin happy dance, now)! The fantastic team behind the first ever Curvy Expo have extended an invite for me to join a group of fellow curvy fashion bloggers as part of their event’s meet and greet.

This one day event is all about celebrating our curves, and I’m absolutely honored to be among the inspiring women in attendance. In addition to the meet and greet, there will be exhibitors, fashion shows, guests speakers, and lots of fun to be had! How much fun, you ask? Check out my video below for my top 5 reasons why you should attend Curvy Expo.
