I am a skirt lover – short, long, flowy, or twirly, I don’t discriminate! So when the end of summer rolls around, I go on the hunt. I know what you’re thinking: “Why would you buy skirts once summer was over?” One word: CLEARANCE! Stores are making room for their fall pieces, which means the clearance racks are piling up with summer clothing.
On my recent trip to Buffalo for a girl’s weekend, I knew where my first stop would be: Lane Bryant, one of my favourite American plus size stores that hasn’t yet made its way to Canada (they ship to Canada if you shop online, but I’m a try-things-on kinda gal). I headed straight for the clearance section in the back of the store, and as I had hoped, there were skirts galore! I picked up two fabulous skirts, one of them being this super fun Wonder Woman-esque piece. Inspired by Margot Meanie’s recent post about elevating a basic look with accessories, I paired this skirt with fun accessories for a day look, and something a bit more dramatic for an evening look.
