It’s that time of year again; the weather is changing, the days are getting a little bit shorter, and it’s back to school! And while I won’t be waiting for the school bus this morning, it’s still fun to put together an outfit for the occasion.

When I think of back to school fashion, I think of primary colours and playful patterns. For this look I started with a pleated A-line dress in yellow with navy stripes – something classic – and paired it with some scholastic themed accessories. Add a pair of coloured tights and swap out some of the accessories, and you’ve got an outfit that can carry you through the chillier autumn months. What is your favourite part of this look?

As the stars flocked to the red carpet to celebrate the 73rd annual Golden Globes, everyone was waiting to see who would WOW with their stunning gowns and make the best dressed list. But let’s face it – as gorgeous as these gowns are, the majority of us don’t have an awards show on our agenda. Instead, you’re likely heading to work, a bar for drinks with your girlfriends, or maybe even a date. So how do we get our favourite star’s look? Pick your favourite red carpet elements and find ways to adapt them into our everyday wardrobe! I’ll be showing you how to do this, all week, with a few fashion and makeup looks.

Everyone was talking about Jennifer Lopez’s mustard yellow gown. She accented it perfectly with silver accessories and dark red lips and nails, and totally owned that carpet! If this colour is more bold than you’re used to, try pairing it with neutral accessories for day look, perfect for the office. Did Jennifer Lopez’s dress make your list of favourites? How would you add mustard to your look? Let me know in the comments!

Stay tuned for another Golden Globe look later this week. Until then, you can Explore the look on Polyvore.

If you know me, it’s no secret that I love, love, LOVE dresses (pants? what are those?) so you will almost always see a dress included in my style boards. Besides, it would be kinda silly for me to showcase different fashion looks that I don’t even wear, right? Right! So, before December rolls around and the blog enters holiday mode, I wanted to share another one of my favourite fall looks: bohemian dresses.

These dresses are fabulous pieces to add to your wardrobe because of their versatility. For the really chilly fall days, all of these dresses pair perfectly with some leggings or tights and a neutral pair of over-the-knee heeled boots. If you’re lucky enough to still be enjoying plus temperatures right now, be bold and go legging-less. A pair of patent nude flats would look killer with any of these designs! How would you accessorize these dresses?
