MY STYLE: SUMMER SKIRTS PT. 2

With the official arrival of fall less than a week away, it’s now or never for one of my last summer style post! Although the days have already started to cool down, and I may have already indulged in a Pumpkin Spice Latte (or two), I am still enjoying some of my summer pieces – one of them being this fabulous skirt from Lane Bryant.You may remember another fun skirt that I picked up from Lane Bryant in the first part of my Summer Skirts posts. I grabbed this colourful piece at the same time because if there’s one thing I love more than skirts, it’s skirts on clearance!

I was drawn to the bright pinks and oranges of this piece, and once I tried it on I discovered a bonus little treat: pockets! It was super comfy and the elastic waist allows me to wear it lower down closer to my hips, or higher up as an empire style, adding an extra layer of versatility. To complete the look I paired it with some fuchsia flats and an ombre necklace to compliment the shades in the skirt. This outfit turned out to be perfect for lounging poolside with my feet dipped in the water!

MY STYLE: BACK TO SCHOOL

It’s that time of year again; the weather is changing, the days are getting a little bit shorter, and it’s back to school! And while I won’t be waiting for the school bus this morning, it’s still fun to put together an outfit for the occasion.

When I think of back to school fashion, I think of primary colours and playful patterns. For this look I started with a pleated A-line dress in yellow with navy stripes – something classic – and paired it with some scholastic themed accessories. Add a pair of coloured tights and swap out some of the accessories, and you’ve got an outfit that can carry you through the chillier autumn months. What is your favourite part of this look?

AUGUST: A LOOK BACK

August has flown by, and as it comes to an end, I find myself scrolling through the last month of social media posts and looking back what was going on in my life. In addition to curating photos for my blog, I love capturing fun and playful shots for Instagram, too (I am a self proclaimed hashtag-of-the-day junkie). So, inspired by posts from a fellow, and might I add fabulous, Canadian blogger, With All My Affection, I thought I would share some of those posts with you!

This month brought along my birthday, a girl’s weekend to Buffalo, and a memorable evening in Bobcaygeon watching the final Hip concert. Here’s to a blank slate in September and another memorable month for all of you lovely Peaches, too!
